Erin E. Lazar, Au.D.
Dr. Lazar is a member of the American Academy of Audiology. She has special interests in diagnostic audiology and amplification (hearing) aids.
Her patient/physician philosophy: “I believe in taking the time to listen to each patient in order to gain a complete understanding of their individual needs. I strive to discover unique solutions for their hearing and balance concerns. The empathy I feel for my patients is genuine and together we develop a trusting relationship dedicated to improving their quality of life.”
Background
Dr. Lazar sees patients experiencing a variety of auditory and balance issues. For hearing, she says it takes on average seven years for people to come in to get their hearing tested after noticing any hearing loss. When they come into clinic, she performs full hearing, balance, and other specialty tests as needed in order to make a diagnosis.
She herself has hearing loss that was diagnosed at age seven. After having several surgeries to try and correct it, she was fitted with hearing aids at age 21. The experience drew her to audiology and she loves being able to make a difference in people’s lives.
